Fitted Hat Measurement Guide
First, we encourage all LineofJudah.com customers to already know their fitted hat size, but provide the following assistance in selecting a size:
1. You will need a measuring tape, mirror and possibly an assistant. The tape should be made of paper or flexible plastic/rubber. Metal will not work because it is not flexible enough.
2. Next starting with the "0" on the tape measure, place the tape on the center of your forehead and rap the tape 360 degrees around your head.
Note: The position you rap the tape should be the position you desire to wear your fitted hat. This is where an assistant could come in handy.
3. Record the reading. If not exactly on a whole # round down if between 1/8 -1/4 (Ex. 22-1/4 round down to 22). If the number is between 22-3/8 and 22-3/4 round up (Ex 22-1/2 round up to 23).
4. Take that whole # and divide it by .3 (Ex. 23 divided by .3 = 76.67)
5. Move the decimal point over one position to the left, round up or down and now you have 7.68.
6. Lastly, use the below chart to determine your hat size. Depending on how you desire to wear your fitted hat is how you would select the appropriate size. Having a measurement of 7.68 if you desire to wear your hat snug, you would choose the 7-5/8" hat. If you desire it loose or a little big, you would choose the 7-3/4."
